We are only limited by the things that we allow to limit us. The keys to success and productivity are already in our pocket. You just need someone to show you the lock and encourage you to open the door.
I maintain connections in the academic and public sector communities in areas including economics, policy development, public policy and financial services.
I am available for guest spots on podcasts, and other pre-recorded interviews and virtual events.
As a prolific motivational and public speaker, I enjoy sharing my life experiences through leading public sector and corporate workshops for senior leaders. I am available for keynote speeches.
When I think about the issues that must be addressed urgently today if we are to continue to thrive and flourish as an international financial centre, I find myself increasingly reminded of a poem called
“The Embattled Dream” by the African-American poet Langston Hughes.
“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity….
“There is an invisible book of life that faithfully records our vigilance or our neglect….
We still have a choice today…. We must move past indecision to action.”
So today is about what Dr. King called “the urgency of now”.
“In today’s increasingly globalised world, money and the management of wealth are the world’s most fungible commodities. Squeeze them too tightly in any one jurisdiction and you cause them immediately to shift to another jurisdiction where they can better exploit opportunities. Money has no national loyalty.
